Welcome to the Parks and Streets Department at the Community Development Administration. We manage Danderyd's public living room, where we work daily to ensure that residents have accessible and traffic-safe roads, pedestrian and bicycle paths, and that public places are safe, clean, and well-maintained. We maintain and develop our green environments that serve as shared activity spaces for recreation and movement, where we take care of the municipality's natural areas, parks, and lakes.

The Community Development Administration is located in Mörby Center, 14 minutes from T-Centralen. Here we are about 70 employees who ensure that everyday life runs smoothly for everyone living, residing, and working in Danderyd Municipality.

We are now looking for a landscape architect who wants to be part of our team working to care for and develop our green public spaces.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a landscape architect, you are part of the team responsible for the municipality's outdoor environment, where you plan, design, and manage parks and natural areas.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving park renovations and leading projects from idea to completed construction. You will develop and design the municipality's play environments and contribute to important climate adaptation measures, such as stormwater management, flood solutions, improved tree health, and biodiversity. A central part of the assignment is to create dialogue and engagement with residents through communication, media participation, and meetings.

As one of the municipality's experts on green environments, you act both internally and externally. You will have contact with contractors and stakeholders, represent the department in detailed planning work, and collaborate with colleagues to develop strategic documents for park management. You will also handle reports of issues within the operation, respond to referrals, and write service statements concerning the area.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• education as a landscape architect LAR/MSA
• work experience in the field from municipal or state operations and/or as a consultant
• experience in designing play environments
• good ability to communicate both orally and in writing in Swedish, as the work involves many contacts internally and externally
• knowledge and experience working with AutoCad, Adobe CC, and Office 365 as working tools
• a B driver's license

It is advantageous if you have experience and good knowledge of:

• public procurement
• cultural heritage conservation
• climate adaptation measures in park and street environments

To succeed in the role of landscape architect, you need to have the ability to take your own initiatives and ensure that you achieve your goals, as well as a solution-focused approach to the issues you face. You have a creative ability to think outside the box and find new solutions to old problems.

You have a good analytical ability to see logic and connections. Furthermore, you are structured in that you can plan and prioritize what needs to be done first and that you complete your tasks.

You are also comfortable taking significant personal responsibility and find it easy to collaborate with others both internally and externally. Personal suitability is highly valued.
